Rainbows and Pot of Gold

The symbolism of rainbows have been celebrated in many cultures throughout history. Rainbows are not only a beautiful natural phenomenon, but they’re full of positive signs and spiritual meanings. Rainbows bring the promise of hope, new beginnings and peace.

Typically seen after a storm, rainbows bring a message that bright and beautiful times are ahead. Because rainbows are inclusive of many colors, rainbows also represent love and acceptance. Some cultures even believe that rainbows are a bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds. Thanks to Irish folklore, the story of finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow has been around for centuries. According to legend, mischievous leprechauns found abandoned gold and buried it at the end of the rainbows so it could never be found again. That said, if you’re lucky enough to find the mysterious pot of gold, it’s believed to represent the realization of one’s hopes and dreams. Whichever meaning of the rainbow and pot of gold resonates most, they’re sure to elicit positive feelings. To keep the feeling of hope, love and new beginnings close to your heart.” – Luckables

Rainbows are something all of us can relate to. When we see one the sky, we realize that someone else may be looking at the same rainbow. This beautiful essence of light reminds us that we are all connected. We are all made of the same light and energy.  Rainbows help us to remember that there is hope and that each us has our own personal pot of gold. A pot filled with little nuggets of good things in our lives.

The things that make our lives richer.

Family, friend, pets ect… but we have so much more.

What about the other gems?  Kindness, stability, strength, nature- maybe hitting all the green lights on a trip to the store? Our golden nuggets are everywhere- we just need to look for them.

Lately, I have been acknowledging all of the golden nuggets in my own personal pot of gold.

For example, the other day I was parking my car at Target and there was a cart blocking my space. A woman in the parking space next to mine got out of her car and moved the cart for me! That never happens to me! It made me feel so happy that I decide to I store that random act of kindness in my pot of gold.

Here are some more things is discovered:

  • A new shampoo/conditioner that leaves my hair soft and shiny
  • My grandson’s laugh (it’s the best sound!)
  • The morning kiss and hug my husband gives me
  • My daughter’s big thank you hugs after she had a hard day
  • The feel of my soft new sweatshirt
  • The quiet of the early morning

What golden nuggets are filling your pot of gold? Take a moment and discover the things that are making your life richer, happier and hopeful.

Namaste.
