Life’s Challanges

This past month has been filled with challenges for me and my husband. It is hard to believe that it has been a month since we moved up to our new home in Pine Mountain Club. We have been adjusting to commuting to work, mountain life, my cat being sick, and dealing with his brother’s heart attack. A lot of changes happened and many struggles have come along, but one thing remained same. We have stuck together and supported each other through all of this. We both understand that many if  these changes and adjustments are out of our control and that we must support each other everyday. His brother’s heart attack made us really look at the big picture of life. To value what is truly important and to let go of things that are not. We cherish each other, our family, our friends, our health and happiness.

So as you are faced with your own life challenges, I hope that you can discover what is really important to you and cherish that: and then be able to let go of the things that do not serve you. This is really where the hard work comes in. Letting go of your need to control the situation, to understand it- for there may not be a reason, and to have the strength to simply let go. It is hard when you in the moment of of a challenge to be able to let go. Be patient and let yourself feel whatever it is you are feeling, then take a step back, find your breath, and use this opportunity to grow. Remind yourself that this a temporary struggle and allow yourself to lean on someone if need be. I have also found that being in touch with nature reminds me of how big and beautiful the world really is and these challenges are small bumps in the long road of life. Take a moment to see the beauty around you and feel gratitude for your life.

I am grateful to my wonderful husband, vet, family and friends for all of the advice and support as I have been adjusting to my new schedule. I am grateful everyday for all of goodness in my life.

Namaste.
